Russia launched direct air communication with North Korea
Yesterday evening, July 27, Russia opened the first direct passenger flight to North Korea. The airline Nordwind will operate this flight once a month, while the North Korean company Air Koryo will provide the flight between Pyongyang and Vladivostok.
It is reported that among the passengers on the first direct flight from Moscow to Pyongyang were more citizens of North Korea.
Cooperation between Russia and North Korea is deepening after signing a military agreement last year. This promotes the expansion of the strategic partnership between both countries in the context of growing international sanctions. Additionally, Russia and North Korea have begun constructing a road bridge over the Tumannaya River, which is considered an important step for the relations between the two states. The exchange of workers also strengthens cooperation between the countries, and in the future, new joint initiatives can be expected.
