Russia has classified economic statistics: what the Kremlin is hiding
The Ukrainian intelligence reported serious problems in the Russian economy. In particular, difficulties are noted in the coal industry, oil refining, construction, automotive industry, and logistics. These sectors are very important for the Russian budget, but they are currently experiencing serious problems. The situation is especially challenging in the manufacturing sector, where more than half of the economy is stagnating.
According to intelligence:
'The main reason is that more than 40% of enterprises in Russia owe three times more than they earn in profits. This leads to an increasing dependence on creditors, as bank credit is becoming expensive and inaccessible.'
Analysts indicated that in order not to provoke panic among the population due to the financial crisis, the authorities decided to impose restrictions on information about the economy and foreign trade, declaring it a state secret. Only selective data that is favorable to the authorities will be published to calm the public.
The Ukrainian intelligence has confirmed a serious crisis in the Russian economy, which affects key sectors and causes an increase in enterprises' dependence on creditors. The Russian authorities are trying to hide the real statistical data to avoid panic among the population, and this may have serious consequences for the country's economy.
