According to Зеленський: In a large-scale overnight assault, Russian forces launched a major attack targeting Ukraine's energy facilities. The attack involved a significant barrage of munitions, including:

• 24 ballistic missiles,
• one cruise missile,
• and more than 200 drones.

Ukrainian air defenses managed to intercept a substantial portion of the incoming weapons despite the massive scale of the attack. These strikes are part of a sustained Russian campaign to cripple Ukraine's power grid, especially during the winter months.

Repair crews are now working across multiple regions to restore power and repair damage. Cities such as Kyiv, Odesa, and Dnipro were among the hardest hit.
