Widespread Strikes Across Ukraine

According to Главком: Russian forces launched a large-scale attack across Ukraine, damaging sites in multiple cities and regions. The assault, which involved ballistic missiles and attack drones, resulted in injuries to two people. The bombardment affected the capital Kyiv, the Kyiv region, the city of Dnipro, Sumy, and Konotop.

Extensive Damage Reported

In Kyiv, damage was recorded in five districts:

  • Darnytskyi
  • Desnianskyi
  • Dniprovskyi
  • Pecherskyi
  • Shevchenkivskyi

The strikes damaged residential buildings, a kindergarten, a gas station, and non-residential structures. In Konotop, a children's educational institution, private homes, and other facilities were hit. These attacks are part of a pattern targeting civilian areas and critical infrastructure, which has escalated since the full-scale invasion began in February 2022.

Furthermore, strikes on energy infrastructure will leave thousands of residents in Kharkiv without heating. The city's mayor, Ihor Terekhov, reported that damage to the heating supply system will force the draining of coolant from one of the largest thermal power plants. The situation remains difficult, with local emergency services working to address the consequences of the attack.

This bombardment underscores the continuation of intense hostilities and the growing impact on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine.

The destruction from these attacks affects not only housing but also social facilities like kindergartens and heating systems, jeopardizing the safety and well-being of the population. Addressing the aftermath will require significant resources and time, further complicating the situation for a country already facing immense challenges during the war.
