According to Главком: On February 10, Russian forces launched attacks on the cities of Zaporizhzhia and Sloviansk, as well as the Odesa region, resulting in civilian casualties and significant damage. These strikes are part of a wider pattern of attacks on Ukrainian territory. In Zaporizhzhia, a kindergarten was damaged, with the blast wave shattering windows and damaging buildings on its grounds. Fortunately, no children or staff were injured as they were all sheltering in a safe place. Several multi-story residential buildings nearby were also hit.

Fatalities in Sloviansk and Infrastructure Attack in Odesa

The consequences were far more tragic in Sloviansk. The strike there resulted in the deaths of:

• An 11-year-old girl;
• Her mother.

Two other individuals were wounded: a seven-year-old girl and a 43-year-old man who is in serious condition. Preliminary reports indicate that seven aerial bombs were dropped on Sloviansk.

In the Odesa region, Russian troops targeted an energy facility owned by the company DTEK, causing major destruction. This ongoing conflict continues to pose severe threats to Ukraine's civilian population and critical infrastructure. The loss of life in Sloviansk, particularly that of a child, starkly highlights the human cost of the war. Simultaneously, the assault on energy infrastructure in Odesa points to a strategy aimed at crippling vital systems, which could have long-term consequences for the local population.
