Security Coordination Meeting Held in Dnipro
A high-level security meeting took place in Dnipro, attended by Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the regional military administration, security forces representatives, members of parliament, and Ministry of Internal Affairs leaders. The discussion focused on enhancing cooperation, safeguarding social infrastructure, and improving response plans ahead of the challenging autumn and winter months. Participants are actively working on actionable decisions and directives.
Since the start of the year, the region has endured over 18,000 attacks, primarily carried out via drones. Russian forces have intensified strikes targeting food warehouses, residential areas, trains, and shopping centers. Just last night, Kryvyi Rih was shelled three times, with residential buildings sustaining damage.
“About an hour ago, Russian forces struck a shopping mall in downtown Pavlohrad during midday when many people were on the streets. We have confirmed two fatalities and at least 18 injured. Rescue teams and police are working at the scene,” stated Ivan Vyhivskyi.
This attack reflects a broader Russian military tactic aimed at civilian infrastructure and non-military targets across Ukraine. Amid ongoing threats to the population, the Dnipro meeting highlights the critical need for coordinated efforts between local authorities and security agencies to protect civilians. In response to repeated assaults on civilian sites, Ukrainian services are focused on strengthening emergency response systems and reinforcing the defense of essential social facilities against future attacks.
The recent attack on the shopping center in Pavlohrad is part of a worrying trend, as evidenced by the escalation of violence in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Just yesterday, Russian forces launched over 40 strikes in a single day, resulting in injuries to eight civilians. This ongoing aggression underscores the urgent need for enhanced security measures and community resilience.
