Ukrainian Air Defenses Intercept Massive Russian Barrage of 382 Missiles and Drones

According to Главком: On April 15, Russian forces launched a large-scale combined assault on Ukraine using missiles and drones. Ukraine's Air Force reported tracking a total of 382 aerial targets. Of these, 369 were successfully destroyed or neutralized by Ukrainian air defense systems. The attack resulted in one missile and 12 attack drones striking targets across six different locations.
Radar and electronic warfare units monitored the assault from 09:00 to 22:00. The incoming threats consisted of:
- 20 Kh-101 cruise missiles
- One Iskander-K missile
- 361 drones of various types, approximately 200 of which were Shahed models
By 22:00, Ukrainian air defenses had eliminated or suppressed:
- 19 Kh-101 cruise missiles
- One Iskander-K missile
- 349 drones
Debris from the downed targets was reported to have fallen in 12 additional locations.
Combat Engagements and Shelling
Ground fighting on April 15 involved 133 separate combat clashes. Russian forces conducted one missile strike using three rockets and carried out 50 airstrikes, dropping 137 guided aerial bombs. In total, Ukrainian positions and settlements endured 2,380 artillery and mortar bombardments.
Drone and missile launch points originated from several locations, including Shatalovo, Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea. The aerial assault was countered by a coordinated response from Ukrainian fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare teams, drone systems, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces.
