Dnipropetrovsk Region Hit by More Than 50 Russian Strikes, Causing Casualties and Damage
Situation in the Dnipropetrovsk Region
According to Главком: Russian military forces launched over fifty attacks on settlements within the Dnipropetrovsk region. The Nikopol, Synelnykove, Samara, and Kryvyi Rih districts were all targeted. These attacks resulted in civilian casualties and significant destruction, according to information provided by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Ganzha. This region, a key industrial and logistical hub, has faced persistent bombardment since the early stages of Russia's full-scale invasion.
The invaders employed heavy artillery, kamikaze drones, and an aerial bomb. In the Synelnykove district, a 67-year-old man was wounded and is currently receiving outpatient treatment. Damage to a private car and farm buildings was also recorded in the same area.
Attacks Across Multiple Districts
In the Nikopol district, strikes hit the district center as well as the Pokrovska, Marhanetska, Chervonohryhorivska, and Myrivska communities. The attacks there damaged infrastructure facilities, local enterprises, and private homes. In the Samara district, the Pishchanska community came under fire, with residential houses, a garage, a car, and infrastructure objects damaged. The Zelenodolska community in the Kryvyi Rih district was also struck, resulting in damage to a private house and a truck.
Emergency services are working at the impact sites to address the consequences of the attacks. In a separate incident, Russian forces also attacked Zaporizhzhia, killing one person and wounding three others with varying degrees of severity. The situation across the region remains tense, with residents continuing to suffer from the ongoing war.
These strikes underscore the persistent threat posed by Russian aggression to Ukrainian territory, particularly as military actions continue. The significance of these events lies not only in the destruction of infrastructure but also in the direct impact on the lives of local civilians, who are forced to live in constant fear. Authorities and emergency services continue to respond swiftly to the aftermath of the attacks, striving to support the victims and ensure the safety of the population.
The recent escalation of hostilities in the Dnipropetrovsk region is part of a broader pattern of Russian assaults that have been increasingly targeting civilian areas. Just days prior, over thirty strikes were reported, causing significant harm to local residents and infrastructure.
