According to glavcom.ua: Russian ski jumper Danilo Sadreev has been recognized by the International Ski Federation (FIS) as a neutral athlete. He became the silver medalist at the 2022 Olympic Games in the mixed team events, for which he was awarded the Order of 'For Merit to the Fatherland' of the first degree by Russian President Putin. However, this award violates the IOC's recommendations regarding neutral athletes, but now Sadreev has the opportunity to qualify for the 2026 Olympics in Italy.
Furthermore, another neutral athlete, Russian speed skater Aleksandra Sayutina, participated in propaganda events in Russia and also took part in the war alongside Russian servicemen against Ukraine.
