A projectile hit the building that houses the National Police Main Directorate for the Zhytomyr region. Vitaliy Bunechko, head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, reported the incident on his Facebook page, saying that State Emergency Service rescuers, emergency medical teams, and all other necessary services were working at the scene. The air-raid alert in Zhytomyr went off at 15:34, and by 15:50 explosions were audible in the city, with smoke visible in the center. The all-clear was announced at 16:09.
