Firefighters extinguished all fires sparked by the strike and managed to rescue two people trapped by heavy smoke in two other nine-story buildings.

Meanwhile, on September 6, a Russian strike on residential neighborhoods in Sloviansk, also in Donetsk Oblast, wounded four people. Overnight on September 7, Russian forces targeted Ukrainian territory with 92 Shahed attack drones and decoy UAVs. Ukraine's Air Defense successfully intercepted the majority of these aerial threats.

Attacks Extend to Zaporizhzhia and Other Regions

Russian drones also targeted Zaporizhzhia, causing a fire at a shopping center, though no casualties were reported. Additionally, Russian forces struck a neighborhood in Balakliia, Kharkiv region; details and damage assessments are still being gathered. On the evening of September 6, a drone hit a private home in southern Odesa Oblast, triggering a fire and damaging nearby houses, but no injuries occurred.

On September 7, Russian drone attacks hit Pryluky in Chernihiv Oblast, setting fire to the Pryluky tobacco factory, part of the global British American Tobacco corporation.
