According to glavcom.ua: On the night of September 11, the occupying army attacked Sumy with drones. One of the educational institutions in the city suffered significant damage, resulting in a fire. Rescuers quickly extinguished the fire. The strike also damaged transport and residential buildings, shattering windows. It should be noted that during the attacks on Ukraine, drones also reached Polish territory, prompting the Polish army to intervene.
A Russian drone hit the Holy Resurrection Cathedral of the OCU in Sumy, which is an important symbol of the city. This was reported by the mayor of Sumy, Artem Kobzar. Details regarding the injured are still being clarified. As a result of the strike, the building suffered damage, and rescue services are working at the scene.
As a result of the drone attacks on Sumy, not only cultural and educational institutions were damaged, but also the city's infrastructure and housing stock. The Polish army was also involved in the events, indicating the large scale of the conflict taking place at Ukraine's borders.
