According to Міністерство Здоров'я: Krystyna Slavs'ka, a 25-year-old paramedic from Shostka, died on February 21, 2026, during a Russian drone attack on an ambulance vehicle near the village of Uralove. The team, which included Krystyna, was evacuating two wounded brothers aged 17 and 25 who had detonated a Russian munition in one of the communities in the Shostka region. While transporting the wounded to the hospital, the vehicle was attacked by a Russian Lancet-type strike drone, causing the vehicle to catch fire, and Krystyna was killed.

Krystyna Slavs'ka was born in Shostka and graduated from the Shostka Medical College. She worked as an emergency medical technician at the Shostka branch of the Sumy Regional Center for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine. The emergency medical technician of the team sustained serious injuries and burns. Unfortunately, on the same day, her husband, who was a police officer, also died.

'I remember how we were taking our final exam. I approached her and said: 'Krystynka, don’t worry,' and she replied: 'Nataliia Stanislavivna, I must know everything perfectly because in the future, I will help people'' - Krystyna's teacher.
