Трагічна подія в Богодухові: внаслідок атаки дрона загинули батько та троє дітей.

Deadly Attack in Bohodukhiv

According to Главком: A Russian attack drone struck a residential home in Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv Oblast, overnight on February 11, killing four people. The victims were a 34-year-old father and his three young children. The house was completely destroyed, and a fire covering approximately 60 square meters broke out at the scene. This attack is part of a wider pattern of strikes on civilian areas in Ukraine's Kharkiv region, which borders Russia.

The children killed were a one-year-old girl, a one-year-old boy, and a three-month-old boy. The children's mother, who is 35 weeks pregnant, was hospitalized with blast injuries, a traumatic brain injury, acoustic trauma, and thermal burns. The family had recently evacuated from the town of Zolochiv in Kharkiv Oblast, hoping to find a safer place to live. Psychologists were on-site to provide assistance to those affected by the tragedy.

Impact on Family and Community

This incident occurred amidst other recent attacks. On February 10, seven aerial bombs were dropped on Sloviansk, resulting in the deaths of two people-an 11-year-old girl and her mother-and injuring 16 others, including a seven-year-old girl. A man born in 1980 remains in serious condition. These events highlight the ongoing and severe threat to civilians across eastern Ukraine.

This tragedy underscores the grave humanitarian consequences of the armed conflict in Ukraine, where civilians, particularly children, continue to be victims of attacks.

The incident in Bohodukhiv and similar cases demonstrate the urgent need for increased international focus on civilian safety and the protection of human rights during wartime. The Ukrainian government and international organizations continue to work on providing aid to victims and ensuring security for those left homeless.
