According to hvylya.net: The Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity Denis Uliutin emphasized in his interview with Ukrinform that social policy should be oriented towards the real needs of people and have a sustainable financial model.
'As a state, we must clearly understand where our citizens need support and provide it purposefully. My previous experience (in finance, - ed.) allows me to assess how the proposed initiatives can be implemented in practice. Without a realistic and sustainable financial model, any promise remains just words. If we create inflated expectations among people that are not backed by real possibilities, it inevitably leads to disappointment and loss of trust,' Uliutin emphasized.
The Minister also noted that it is important not only to provide financial assistance but also to use other tools that contribute to the dignity and confidence of a person in the future.
'Our goal is to act proactively, support a person at the initial stage of problems and provide the necessary support. If we limit ourselves to just financial payments, it will only postpone problems. A person will fall into greater social vulnerability and dependence on the state,' Uliutin explained.
Uliutin stressed the importance of purposeful and effective social policy that should meet people's needs, promote their dignity, and ensure citizens' trust in the state.
