The financial market of Ukraine has contracted: what has changed in October

Recently, there have been some changes in the financial market. The number of companies providing non-bank financial services has decreased to 787, while the number of banks has remained unchanged at 60.

Financial companies and other entities

• 417 financial companies;
• 49 non-life insurers and 10 life insurers;
• 102 pawnshops and 88 credit unions;
• One leasing company, 45 insurance brokers, and 74 collection companies;
• 16 banking groups and 42 non-bank financial groups.

Payment market

There are 15 payment systems functioning in the payment market, including state and international ones. There are 16 payment institutions, 12 financial institutions, one bank issuing electronic money, and one postal service operator. There are also 49 commercial agents and 32 technology operators of payment services.

Changes in the financial market illustrate the dynamics of development among different groups of entities and a smooth transformation in this sector. This may affect the accessibility and diversity of financial services for consumers.
