Long-range strikes by Ukraine's armed forces against Russia have been given a major boost by U.S. intelligence sharing.

Senator Mark Warner, a Democrat who sits on the Senate Intelligence Committee, confirmed that collaboration between the two countries has improved.

“I won't get into specifics, but it has improved. Combined with a genuinely intelligent long-range strike strategy, it has considerably strengthened the Ukrainian position,” he said.

American early-warning systems also continue to alert Kyiv to incoming missile threats, a factor that has contributed to successful operations by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Expert George Barros, director of innovation and open-source intelligence at the Institute for the Study of War, pointed out that the strikes have grown significantly stronger since 2025.

“It's only since 2025, when the new Trump administration authorized intelligence sharing, that these strikes have become far more powerful and effective, giving Ukrainians better information to execute significantly more impactful attacks,” he said.

The Ukrainian military is actively sharing intelligence with Washington, particularly on internal developments in Russia and Moscow's collaboration with Tehran. President Volodymyr Zelensky has stressed that Ukrainian intelligence receives information about the real situation inside Russia, including documents that reach the desks of Russian leaders. According to Zelensky, those documents reflect rising public discontent with Vladimir Putin's policies.
