Fuel Crisis and Aggression in Crimea

According to Зеленський: New intelligence from Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service reveals deepening problems with fuel supplies, military logistics, and governance in Crimea. According to internal Russian documents, the level of anxiety among Russians has surpassed 50%, a figure higher than during the Kursk operation. Additionally, 66% of respondents describe their financial situation as difficult, and more than 80% believe an economic crisis in Russia is unavoidable.

Belarus Prepares for Possible Aggression

Oleh Luhovskyi reported that Belarus is preparing for a potential expansion of aggression against Ukraine. Infrastructure construction along the border with Ukraine is nearly complete, including roads, ammunition depots, and fuel storage facilities. These activities are concentrated in several border areas, such as:

  • Kobryn–Kovel
  • Ivanove–Manevychi
  • Lunynets–Sarny
  • Rechytsa–Korosten
  • Homyel–Chernihiv

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the situation, stating that

“The Russian occupation administration has clearly and unambiguously admitted that it cannot resolve the problems created by our medium-range sanctions against the occupier, nor by the implementation of long-range sanctions, especially those targeting Russian oil refining.”

He also emphasized that

“the indicators are completely transparent and reflect the failure of Putin’s military policy.”

According to the intelligence, Russian documents describe the situation within the framework of the so-called 'special military operation.' This underscores the severity of Russia’s economic troubles and their regional consequences. With rising public anxiety and discontent, the situation demands close attention from the international community.

These developments point to a significant escalation in the region, which could have serious implications not only for Ukraine but also for Russia and its neighbors. The worsening economic conditions in Russia and the activation of military infrastructure in Belarus may signal readiness for further aggressive actions, requiring careful monitoring and response from international organizations and neighboring countries.

The situation in Crimea is further complicated by Ukraine's strategic shift, aimed at stretching Russian forces along the Belarusian border. This move reflects the growing need for a comprehensive response to the escalating threats from both Russia and Belarus.
