Special forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate successfully attacked a Russian Navy ship in the waters of the Black Sea. This information was reported by Glavkom, citing the press service of the GUR. The attacked ship, which was commissioned in 2015, is valued at about $60 million. The Russian aggressor has four similar vessels.

“It is noted that the MPSV07 project ship is equipped with diving complexes, remotely controlled devices, side-scan sonar, and electronic warfare systems. It can be used for seabed surveys. The ship's power is about 4 MW.”

During the attack, GUR special forces used a combat drone that struck the ship's control center. As a result, the ship was rendered inoperable and sent for repair. It is also worth recalling a breakthrough in military history when Ukrainian drones successfully attacked a Russian corvette of the 'Buian-M' project at a record distance of over 350 km.

This event indicates the high level of training and responsiveness of Ukrainian special forces in conducting military operations against Russian military facilities in the Black Sea. Such successful operations may have significant strategic importance for Ukraine's national security in the region.
