According to Прокуратура Київ: The Dnipro District Prosecutor's Office in Kyiv is investigating a fraudulent scheme implemented by the owner and director of a company. They used imitation investments to seize money from citizens.
Through video advertisements on YouTube, Telegram, and Instagram, the fraudsters convinced potential investors of the profitability of investing in agricultural equipment from the USA. However, none of the promised profit opportunities actually materialized.
"The equipment can be rented out or sold"
Disguised as the first agricultural investment fund in Ukraine, the company defrauded more than 12 million hryvnias from 23 citizens. Now their owner and director may face trial for seizing someone else's property through deception.
