Shakhtar won against Besiktas for the second time and advanced further in the qualification of the Europa League
Donetsk's 'Shakhtar' once again defeated the Turkish 'Besiktas' in the match of the second qualifying round of the Europa League for the 2025/26 season. The game took place at the Henryk Reyman Stadium in Krakow, Poland, and the 'miners' won with a score of 2:0. Overall, the victory of the Ukrainian team amounted to 6:2, and under the guidance of coach Arda Turan, 'Shakhtar' continues its path in European cups.
The first goal of the match was scored by Brazilian forward Kevin in the 12th minute after a pass from Kauan Elias. And already in stoppage time of the first half, Kauan Elias himself marked the second goal, doubling 'Shakhtar's' advantage. In the second half, the teams exchanged attacks, but the score remained unchanged - 2:0.
'Dynamo's' victory in the Champions League
Ukrainian champion, Kyiv's 'Dynamo', secured a place in the third qualifying round of the Champions League, defeating the team 'Hamrun Spartans' from Malta with a score of 6:0. In the away match, 'Dynamo' already achieved a 3:0 victory, which was a decisive factor for success in the home game.
In the end, it can be said that 'Shakhtar' and 'Dynamo' performed successfully in European cups, ensuring their continued participation in tournaments and raising the prestige of Ukrainian football at the international level.
