The SAP requires the state budget to recover three luxury cars of the MP

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) has filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) regarding the unjustified assets of the member of parliament. It should be noted that the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPC) established that in 2020-2021, associates of the MP purchased three luxury cars that were actively used by the MP himself.

According to NAPC data, among these cars are a Toyota Land Cruiser 200 (2020), a BMW 730LD (2020), and a BMW X5 (2020), with a total value exceeding 8.6 million hryvnias. After analyzing the income and expenses of the people's representative and associated persons, the NAPC found it impossible to increase such assets through legal earnings.

This step is yet another important step in the fight against corruption in Ukraine, where the authorities are obliged to act in the interests of citizens, rather than for their own profit. This situation highlights the importance of effective control and accountability of officials for the origins of their assets and the disclosure of possible corruption.
