The 'Alpha' Special Operations Center turns 32
According to Зеленський: Today marks the 32nd anniversary of the establishment of the 'Alpha' Special Operations Center, which is part of the Security Service of Ukraine. During the ceremonial event, the head of the SBU handed state awards to the current servicemen of the Special Operations Center 'A', and also presented distinctions to the family of the fallen Hero, who was posthumously awarded. This event highlights the contribution of the unit's soldiers to strengthening the country's defense capability.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, who was present at the ceremony, emphasized the role of the Center in protecting the state. He stated:
'Today, the 'Alpha' Special Operations Center of the Security Service of Ukraine is already 32 years old, and I am grateful to you for the fact that each year you give strength to both the Center and the Security Service of Ukraine, and to our entire state.' Volodymyr Zelensky
Moreover, Zelensky noted that during the full-scale defense, the SBU has become one of the strongest intelligence agencies in the world, and a significant portion of this achievement belongs to 'Alpha'.
The head of state expressed gratitude to each soldier of the unit for their military service, as well as thanked the families of the servicemen for their reliable support. He added:
'Thank you to everyone who supports you and helps you. Thank you to your families for such outstanding Ukrainian warriors!
