The Security Service of Ukraine neutralized a drone over the government quarter of Warsaw: incident details

The Polish State Protection Service successfully shot down a drone operating over government buildings and the Belvedere Palace in central Warsaw. This was reported by the country's Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

According to the Polish leader, the state protection service recently had to stop a drone over government buildings on Parkowa Street and the Belvedere Palace. In connection with this incident, two citizens of Belarus were detained. The police are currently investigating the circumstances of the event.

This incident has become part of the escalating situation with drones in the airspace of Poland. On the night of September 10, 2025, Russian drones massively invaded the country's airspace, penetrating from the territory of Ukraine and Belarus. According to Donald Tusk, 19 drones entered Polish territory.

This is the first case since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict where Poland was forced to use air defense measures in its own airspace. Some drones were shot down, and NATO aircraft were activated for the first time in response to the threat.
