The Security Service to Conduct Large-Scale Security Measures in Lviv: What Residents Can Expect

According to glavcom.ua: In Lviv, from September 16 to 18, security measures will be conducted, which will include the work of the Security Service in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies. The main goal of the measures is to prevent terrorist acts and sabotage, neutralize espionage activities, and ensure the safety of residents in the context of martial law due to Russian aggression.

«The actions of law enforcement will cover the entire territory of the city, and measures will be conducted in accordance with the laws of martial law», - the message states.

During these measures, movement in the city will be restricted, documents and vehicles of citizens will be checked, and if necessary, additional checks of certain individuals may be conducted. There will also be inspections of public places to detect prohibited items.

«The Security Service calls on citizens to understand the situation and perceive lawful actions of law enforcement with understanding, to carry documents, and to comply with the requirements of the law. We emphasize that in our work, we adhere to legality and the constitutional rights of citizens», - the statement reads.

Similar security measures were previously conducted in Kyiv, when the combined efforts of security services and police were aimed at ensuring the safety of citizens.

The announcement of planned security measures in Lviv means that the authorities take the safety of citizens seriously in the context of wartime threats and regularly conduct preventive measures to prevent potential threats.
