According to ХВИЛЯ: On April 21, Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) carried out a special operation on Balkovska Street in Odesa, detaining eight employees from the Peresyp district Territorial Recruitment Center and Social Support office (TCC & SP). The suspects are accused of demanding a $50,000 bribe. The operation was launched based on prior information from a citizen who agreed to cooperate in a sting.

The detention of the TCC staff was accompanied by gunfire, though, according to the press service of the Odesa Regional TCC & SP, there were no casualties or injuries during the operation. The man targeted for the bribe had previously faced issues with TCC officials despite possessing proper documentation, including a combat participant certificate.
