SBU destroyed logistics of the Russian Federation: how attacks on the Crimean bridge paralyzed the occupiers

SBU's business card: Maljuk spoke about strikes on the Crimean bridge
СБУ знищила російську логістику: як удари по Кримському мосту зупинили ворога в його намірах.

As a result of a successful strike on the Crimean bridge as part of the 'Web' operation, the military logistics of the occupiers suffered significantly, said SBU head Lieutenant General Vasyl Maljuk. Now Russia cannot use the bridge for military purposes.

In fact, we have hundreds of implementations, each of which deserves respect and attention. But if a bright business card is needed, it is the Crimean bridge. The first time we approached from land, the second – from the water surface. And in 2025 we went underwater. Serious damage was inflicted on the corresponding supports, so-called 'piers'. And, essentially, the bridge today operates in a limited mode – trucks weighing no more than 5 tons are moving across it.

The head of the SBU also explained that during the last attack, two strikes were inflicted on the structure, each with a power of 1.1 tons in TNT equivalent. This is already the third case in which the Security Service of Ukraine attacks the Crimean bridge, and the underwater supports were severely damaged at the bottom level.

The operation lasted several months, during which Ukrainian servicemen mined the supports of the bridge and, without civilian casualties, activated the explosive device. According to spokesman of the Ukrainian Navy, Dmytro Pletenchuk, the SBU operation complicated navigation and dealt a serious blow to the logistics of the Russian army.

Attacks on the Crimean bridge as part of the 'Web' operation significantly complicated the military logistics of the occupiers, making the use of the bridge for military purposes impossible. Ukrainian servicemen successfully carried out the operation, mining the supports of the bridge and inflicting serious damage to its structure. This caused serious problems for the Russian army and compromised the enemy's logistics capabilities.
