A 7-Year-Old Ukrainian Boy Sets a Record for Peace in Switzerland
Philipp Nagorny’s New Achievement
According to Главком: Philipp Nagorny, a seven-year-old from Ukraine, has officially set a record by completing 250 muscle-ups on a pull-up bar while carrying a 1-kilogram weight on each leg. This feat took place in Lausanne, Switzerland, and was formally recognized by the National Register of Records of Ukraine. His accomplishment was part of the global humanitarian campaign 'Peace for Children,' which highlights the importance of peace and unity among children around the world.
Philipp and His Mother Reflect on the Moment
Philipp, a Ukrainian citizen, shared his thoughts on the record. He said:
'It was tough-especially after the two-hundredth rep. But I kept thinking about the boys back home in Ukraine, who are going through much harder times than I was on that bar. I wanted to show everyone that we kids are strong, and we believe in peace. This record isn’t just mine. It belongs to all of us children.' Philipp Nagorny
His mother, Ilona, expressed her pride, noting that 'in moments like these, you realize that children are sometimes stronger than us adults.'
The record was overseen by Lana Vyetrova, head of the National Register of Records of Ukraine. Philipp is now preparing for another strength-based record under the guidance of his coach and a sports doctor. This success not only highlights the young athlete’s physical abilities but also underscores the power of humanitarian efforts that bring children from different countries together around shared values of peace and support.
Philipp Nagorny’s achievement places him on the global sports map and serves as a powerful example of how children can influence society through their actions. Linked to the 'Peace for Children' initiative, his record draws attention to the need for peace in times of conflict and shows that even the youngest individuals can become messengers of change. Stories like his inspire many children who aspire to reach great goals despite the challenges they face in their own lives.
