Series about Harry Potter: the first trailer has been released

HBO has presented the first trailer for the new series about Harry Potter, which will be a reimagining of the cult story based on the books by J.K. Rowling. The two-minute video has already provided the first glimpse into the plot, characters, and atmosphere of the upcoming project. This is reported by BBC Ukraine.

The Harry Potter series trailer showcased familiar scenes and new details

The trailer shows Harry Potter's journey from the Dursleys' home to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Viewers were shown key moments from the story that are well-known from the films.

Among them:

• Harry's life in the cupboard under the stairs

• Conversation with Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon

• Receiving the letter of invitation to Hogwarts

• The trip with Hagrid to London and King's Cross

• Meeting Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.

The video also features Professor Dumbledore, Severus Snape, Minerva McGonagall, and Draco Malfoy. The creators recreated many details-from the sorting hat to Ollivander's shop.

Meanwhile, the series will also include new scenes. In particular, viewers will see Harry's life in a regular school before Hogwarts, as well as a subway ride with Hagrid. The look of Quidditch has changed as well-the players' uniforms and brooms look different.

Release date of the Harry Potter series and cast

The premiere of the first season is scheduled for Christmas 2026 on the HBO Max platform. The entire project is planned for approximately 10 years-as each book is set to be adapted into its own season.

For the lead roles, newcomers were selected after a large-scale casting, which involved more than 30,000 children.

Filming is taking place at the Warner Bros studio in Leavesden, UK, where a temporary school has been set up for the young actors.
