Accusations Against Russia

According to МЗС: Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has accused Russia of launching the largest number of ballistic missiles since the war began, stating that roughly 40 missiles were used in the attack on Kyiv. This aggressive strike resulted in civilian deaths and injuries. Sybiha emphasized that such a reckless assault reveals the terrorist nature of the Russian state’s actions.

Calls for Action

The minister urged the international community to take immediate retaliatory steps.

“We call for adequate and decisive measures in response. We need crushing pressure on Moscow to end this terror,” he said.

Sybiha also stressed the urgent need to unblock the European Union’s 21st sanctions package, noting that 'there can be no pauses in strengthening sanctions and isolating Russia.'

Additionally, Sybiha underlined that agreements for additional interceptor systems must be implemented without delay, as 'anyone who delays the delivery of these life-saving defense tools must know that the price of delay is measured in human lives.' He also called for stepping up the work of the anti-ballistic missile coalition, asserting that 'there can be no pauses in our joint efforts to build European defense against ballistic terror.'

In closing, Sybiha voiced opposition to restoring Russia’s rights in international sports competitions, stressing that 'the blood of Ukrainians is on the hands of sports bureaucrats who take such immoral steps.' He remarked that 'Putin cannot be stopped through a policy of appeasement' and urged that Ukraine be provided with all necessary means to halt Russian aggression.

These statements from Sybiha reflect the gravity of Ukraine’s situation and underscore the need for international support to counter Russian aggression. In particular, the focus on the terrorist nature of the attacks and the necessity of sanctions signals the Ukrainian government’s intent to intensify diplomatic efforts to rally global backing for Ukraine’s interests. At the same time, calls to speed up deliveries of defensive equipment highlight the critical need to strengthen Ukraine’s military capabilities amid the escalating conflict.

In light of these recent developments, it is crucial to understand the broader implications of Ukraine's diplomatic efforts. The Foreign Minister not only called for immediate action but also emphasized the importance of strengthening sanctions against Russia.
