Elimination of Russian Occupiers

According to Главком: Ukraine's defenders have killed Russian senior guard lieutenant Nikita Pavlov, born on April 29, 2000. Pavlov held a first-class sports ranking in boxing and kettlebell lifting, and was a multiple-time champion of the Republic of Buryatia and Irkutsk Oblast in boxing. In 2017, he enrolled at the Makarov Pacific Higher Naval School, specializing in mine-torpedo armament, and achieved the rank of Candidate for Master of Sports in all-around events.

Pavlov took part in combat operations on the Crimean and Kursk fronts, where he sustained a severe injury. After rehabilitation in November 2024, he returned to the Kursk direction. Ukrainian forces eliminated Nikita Pavlov on April 20, 2026, and his farewell ceremony is scheduled for May 13, 2026.

Georgy Kamalov and His Career

The defense forces also eliminated 46-year-old Russian occupier Georgy Kamalov. He played for the Era Vladivostok team from 2003 to 2011, but ended his playing career due to an injury. Kamalov then transitioned to a coaching role within the Era system and in recent years worked with the football club Anri, leading the club to the level of the Russian Cup.

Georgy Kamalov was 46 years old at the time of his elimination. Dmitry Nizovtsev, commenting on his death, stated:

“He was up to his ears in debt. That's why he signed a contract. He paid off his debts after receiving the payout. But then he had to go fight. And die. At the age of 46. Such is the grim reality.” - Dmitry Nizovtsev

The elimination of Nikita Pavlov and Georgy Kamalov is part of the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia, which has resulted in numerous casualties on both sides. These cases highlight how the war affects not only military personnel but also civilians, particularly those forced to leave their professions and participate in hostilities due to financial hardships. It is important to note that such events shape public opinion and influence the further development of the conflict.

The ongoing conflict continues to disrupt various aspects of life in Ukraine and Russia, including the world of sports. Recently, a drone attack forced a Russian football club to forfeit a match, illustrating how military actions directly impact civilian activities and the sports community.
