Ukrainian Forces Destroy Four Russian Drone Command Centers in Occupied Territories and Russia
Українські сили ліквідували чотири командні пункти безпілотників ворога на тимчасово окупованих землях та на території Росії.

Targeting Russian Drone Command Posts

According to Рубрика — Суспільство: Ukrainian Defense Forces have successfully struck four command centers controlling Russian drones across occupied areas in Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Donetsk regions, as well as on Russian soil. The most significant target was the temporary deployment and command hub of the "Rubikon" drone unit in Berdyansk, recognized as one of Russia's most capable drone operation centers.

These drone command posts were neutralized near Oleshky in Kherson and around Bilytske in Donetsk. Additionally, a drone command facility in Russia’s Bryansk region near Aleksandrovsky was also hit. The Ukrainian General Staff commented on the strikes:

"The past day proved challenging for Russian drone operators. Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated four enemy drone command points located on occupied lands of Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Donetsk, and within Russia itself." - Ukrainian General Staff

Earlier, during the night of November 7, Ukrainian forces also destroyed two Iskander tactical missile launchers and a Pantsir-S1 air defense system in the Bryansk region of Russia. On November 5 and 6, Ukrainian units targeted four Russian military sites in Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk, which included:

  • two ammunition depots
  • a drone command post
  • a fuel and lubricant storage facility

Record Losses for Russian Forces in October 2023

October 2023 marked a record month for Russian personnel losses inflicted by Ukraine’s unmanned systems units. During that period, Ukrainian forces destroyed an enemy target every 41 seconds and eliminated one Russian soldier every 159 seconds. "Russian occupiers near Oleshky in Kherson and around Bilytske in Donetsk also lost their drone control points. In Bryansk, near Aleksandrovsky, a drone command post on Russian territory was struck. Ukraine will continue targeting key enemy military infrastructure until Russia ends its armed aggression against Ukraine," the General Staff stated.

These operations highlight Kyiv’s intensified efforts to dismantle Russian military infrastructure focused on drone command and control. The destruction of these facilities significantly disrupts Russia’s operational capabilities, especially as Ukrainian forces demonstrate increasing proficiency in striking strategic targets. This underscores the critical role that drone technology plays in modern warfare and its growing impact on the conflict dynamics between the two nations.

In addition to the recent strikes, Ukrainian forces have consistently targeted key Russian military assets. For instance, earlier operations saw the destruction of critical drone command facilities, including the significant 'Rubikon' unit in Berdyansk.
