Удар по російському флоту: Українські військові знищили танкер, який постачав паливо.

Oil Tanker Fina A Targeted in Precision Attack

According to Главком: On June 16 and into the early hours of June 17, 2026, Ukrainian defense forces struck the oil tanker Fina A in Black Sea waters. This vessel was part of Russia's so-called shadow fleet, used to evade international sanctions while transporting crude oil and petroleum products. The attack marks another deliberate step in Ukraine's campaign to degrade the enemy's military and logistical infrastructure.

The Fina A, identified by IMO number 9283306, measures 244.6 meters in length and has a gross tonnage of 62,002. It is currently under sanctions imposed by the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Canada, and Ukraine. Military officials confirm the strike was successful, though experts are still assessing the full extent of the damage to the Russian-operated vessel.

Additional Military Assets Destroyed

In the same operation, Ukrainian forces also struck several other Russian military targets. These included:

  • a road bridge over the North Crimean Canal near the settlement of Stavky;
  • a road bridge near Voiinka in the Kherson region;
  • an enemy command and observation post and a control center near Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk region;

Drone command posts operated by occupying forces were also hit across multiple locations, including:

  • Kamianske and Novoprokopivka in the Zaporizhzhia region;
  • Ivanopillia and Komari in the Donetsk region;
  • Oleshky in the Kherson region;
  • Maliivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region;
  • Koroviakovka and Kucherov in Russia's Kursk region.

These coordinated strikes are part of a broader effort to weaken the enemy's military capacity across the region.

This incident underscores Ukraine's active naval campaign in the Black Sea, a key element of its strategy to deplete Russian resources. At the same time, attacks on other military installations show that Ukrainian forces are systematically dismantling critical enemy infrastructure.

Targeting a tanker used for oil supply could significantly impact Russia's logistical capabilities. Each successful strike brings Ukraine closer to achieving its strategic objectives in the war.

This latest strike is part of a series of coordinated attacks aimed at disrupting Russian operations in the Black Sea. For a closer look at how Ukrainian forces targeted not only the Fina A but also strategic bridges in the Kherson region, check out this report on the recent military actions.
