Operations by Ukraine’s Defense Forces

According to Главком: On the night of July 2, Ukraine’s defense forces struck the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez oil refinery in Kstovo, a drone storage facility in Kamyanka, a railway bridge in Stanytsia Luhanska, and a command post in Vilshana. A direct hit on the facility triggered a subsequent fire on the site, with initial reports indicating damage to the AVT-6 primary oil processing unit.

Additionally, the attack targeted an enemy drone storage facility near Kamyanka in the Zaporizhzhia region, potentially hampering the adversary’s ability to conduct aerial operations. A railway bridge crossing the Siverskyi Donets River near Stanytsia Luhanska, used by the enemy for military logistics, was also struck. An enemy command and observation post located near Vilshana in the Kharkiv region sustained damage as well.

Strategic Approach to Combat Operations

These actions are part of a 40-day campaign to pressure Russia, approved by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, which has inflicted significant damage on the adversary’s military infrastructure.

Ukraine’s defense forces continue to demonstrate a strategic approach to warfare by targeting critical enemy assets. Hitting oil refineries and drone depots not only reduces the enemy’s resource potential but also disrupts their logistical capabilities, potentially complicating future combat operations.

In a similar vein, Ukraine's strategic operations have recently included targeted strikes on key infrastructure inside Russia, including two bridges and another oil refinery. These actions illustrate the ongoing efforts to disrupt enemy logistics and resource capabilities, further emphasizing the importance of Ukraine's military tactics in the current conflict.
