According to Главком: In the early hours of June 2, the Kyiv region came under attack as air defense units and mobile fire teams engaged enemy forces on the outskirts of the capital. Under the "Clean Sky" initiative, defenders eliminated close to a hundred hostile drones. Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, reported that the assault involved both missile strikes and drone attacks, resulting in civilian casualties and damage to infrastructure.

The offensive utilized ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and Shahed-type drones. Three people were injured, including children, while over 50 residents sustained wounds. Destruction was recorded across residential buildings, warehouses, businesses, and vehicles in the Bucha, Vyshhorod, Fastiv, and Obukhiv districts.

During the attack, emergency crews extinguished a fire in a townhouse covering roughly 100 square meters and contained a blaze at a warehouse spanning 500 square meters in Sofiivska Borshchahivka. Private homes were also damaged. Mykola Kalashnyk stated:

“In just the latest attack on the region’s borders, they destroyed nearly a hundred enemy drones. Overall, under the Clean Sky project, over 3,800 aerial targets of the terrorist have been eliminated.” - Mykola Kalashnyk
