Maxim Klychko debuted for the basketball team "Monaco", playing two matches in one day

Ukrainian basketball player Maxim Klychko played two matches in one day in France — first for the youth team, and later debuted with the senior team of «Monaco». This was reported by Glavcom.

In the first match, Klychko played in the French youth championship against «Le Mans». The match was tense and ended in a loss for «Monaco» in two overtimes — 117:119.

The Ukrainian spent 30 minutes on the court and showed a high level of play:

• 25 points scored

• 14 rebounds

• 3 assists

• 1 steal.

He also had 4 fouls and 2 turnovers. Klychko recorded a double-double, becoming one of the top scorers of the match.

That same day, the basketball player got the chance to play for the senior team of «Monaco». In the match against the same «Le Mans», the team secured a solid victory — 99:85.

Klychko spent 4 minutes on the court:

• did not score

• made 2 rebounds

• made 1 shot.

This appearance marked his official debut for the main team of the French club.

It was previously reported that the women’s national basketball team of Ukraine has advanced to the second stage of EuroBasket 2027 qualification. The team took third place in their group but made it to the best among the third-placed teams.

In the next stage of qualification, the Ukrainians will play in groups with new opponents, including teams from the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Turkey. The matches will take place in November 2026 and February 2027.
