Ukrainians to face up to 30°C heat on the last summer day, forecasters predict
Weather outlook for August 31
According to Рубрика — Суспільство: Monday, 31 August, will stay mostly dry across Ukraine, according to the national hydrological service. The only possible rain is a brief, light shower overnight in the northern regions and around Vinnytsia Oblast. Overnight temperatures are set to fall between 13°C and 18°C, with afternoon highs expected to reach 25–30°C. This forecast gives the country a warm send-off as summer comes to a close.
The Carpathian mountains will see cooler conditions, with nighttime lows of 8–13°C and daytime highs of 19–24°C. Kyiv, meanwhile, will range from 16–18°C overnight to 27–29°C during the day. Motorists in western and northern areas should watch for patchy fog late at night and in the early morning, while winds will stay light and variable at 3–8 m/s.
“Expect variable cloudiness,” the forecasters said. “There will be no precipitation apart from a slight, brief shower in the northern and Vinnytsia regions overnight.”
A warm finish to the season
The final day of August is shaping up to be warm and largely sunny, giving Ukrainians a chance to enjoy the outdoors. With no significant rain in store, the outlook for the 31st promises a pleasant end to the summer.
