The Critical Role of Territorial Recruitment Centers

According to Главком: Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine's Armed Forces, has underscored the vital function of Territorial Recruitment Centers (TRCs) in the nation's mobilization efforts. He stated that these centers are responsible for approximately 90 percent of personnel recruitment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ensuring a steady flow of reinforcements to the defense forces. The remaining 10 percent are recruited through other direct channels. This system is a cornerstone of Ukraine's ability to sustain its military strength against ongoing aggression.

Enhanced Scrutiny of Training Standards

Syrskyi has also ordered a significant tightening of controls over the quality of training provided at military instruction centers. An audit of basic general military training has been ongoing since last autumn, reflecting a systematic approach to soldier preparation. Furthermore, he has directed inspections within the TRCs to identify individuals who possess prior combat experience, a factor deemed crucial for the successful execution of battlefield missions.

The commander noted that servicemen lacking combat experience or with certain health issues will be assigned to combat zones. This indicates a strategic intent to optimize the allocation of human resources and enhance the overall combat readiness of Ukraine's military forces.
