Syrskiy on the defense of Pokrovsk: Ukrainian troops are blocking the accumulation of the enemy
Situation in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad Agglomeration
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskiy, reported on December 4 about a challenging phase in the defense of the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration and the actions of Ukrainian units aimed at blocking the enemy's accumulation. Ukrainian soldiers currently hold the northern part of Pokrovsk, which is strategically important to prevent further offensive actions by the enemy.
As part of this work, a meeting is taking place with the commanders of military groupings, corps, brigades, regiments, and separate battalions. The participants of the meeting made decisions regarding combat management, interaction, and comprehensive support for the forces. The active actions of Ukrainian units block the enemy's attempts to accumulate assault infantry groups, which is a crucial aspect of ensuring the region's defense capability.
Oleksandr Syrskiy emphasized that 'at a time when the occupiers disregard losses of personnel, Ukrainian commanders have a clear understanding of the importance of preserving the life and health of their subordinate personnel'.
Attention is also given to organizing additional logistical routes, timely medical evacuation, counter-battery warfare, and countermeasures against enemy unmanned aerial vehicles. This underscores the strategic approach of Ukrainian troops to ensure defense under conditions of tense situations.
Critical Situation and Further Actions
The situation in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration remains critical, as control over this region is crucial for front stability. The measures undertaken by the Ukrainian armed forces aim to prevent further enemy advances, highlighting the need for constant monitoring and readiness for changes on the battlefield. A successful defense of this area could be the key to maintaining strategic initiative and preventing losses among service members.
