According to Главком: In a significant military overhaul, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, has announced the ongoing reform of Ukraine's Territorial Defense Forces (TDF), a process initiated approximately six months ago. This initiative will see all TDF brigades transition to a unified structure with a significantly enhanced unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) component, reflecting the critical role of drone warfare in modern conflict.

The new brigade composition will integrate several specialized units, including:

• Heavy artillery,
• Anti-aircraft missile units,
• Ground robotic complex units.

"This will multiply the combat capabilities of the TDF brigades and allow them to successfully defend their assigned operational zones," stated Oleksandr Syrskyi.

The reformed TDF units are planned for primary use in defensive operations. Syrskyi emphasized that the goal of this restructuring is to increase the combat effectiveness of the forces and reduce casualties.

"The systematic update of the structure, the addition of new strike capabilities to the TDF's arsenal, and the improvement of logistical capacities represent a prudent investment in Ukraine's defense under the conditions of a protracted, full-scale war," Syrskyi added.
