Reserve Status and Readiness Meeting

According to Главком: Ukraine's Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi chaired a meeting focused on the condition and preparedness of military reserves. During the session, a decision was made to establish new unmanned systems units, aimed at strengthening the defense of the state border along the northern axis. These newly created units will receive the necessary weaponry, equipment, and other resources to carry out their designated missions.

Syrskyi received briefings on the restoration of combat effectiveness in military units following combat operations. He also emphasized the importance of developing the non-commissioned officer (NCO) corps.

“NCOs are the backbone of unit combat capability and a critical link between commanders and soldiers. Future leaders must primarily come from warriors who have proven their effectiveness in battle, possess leadership qualities, command the respect of their comrades, and demonstrate high motivation for service,” he stated.

Status of Territorial Defense Brigades

The meeting also reviewed the condition of territorial defense brigades, leading to a decision to scale up the unmanned component within these units. This expansion will significantly enhance their capabilities in reconnaissance, striking enemy forces, and defending designated areas of responsibility.

“We are consistently strengthening the Armed Forces of Ukraine, building up reserve capabilities, and preparing troops to carry out tasks under any scenario,” Oleksandr Syrskyi underscored.

It is worth noting that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned of potential new Russian offensives from the direction of Belarus and Russia's Bryansk region toward northern Ukraine. In response to these threats, preparations for the defense of settlements in Kyiv Oblast have begun, including the establishment of all-round perimeter defenses. These measures reflect a serious approach to ensuring security and readiness for potential challenges.

In light of the increasing threats from Russia, as highlighted by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the need for enhanced military capabilities becomes even more pressing. As reported, Ukraine's top commander has revealed significant Russian troop movements across multiple fronts, underscoring the urgency of strengthening defense measures and operational readiness in the region.
