The Patriot system and additional missiles have arrived in Ukraine from Germany – The Telegraph
According to glavcom.ua: The Pentagon and the White House used this step to persuade European countries to send their stocks to Kyiv, while waiting for America to replenish them. For some countries, this is a challenging task, as their Patriots will not be replaced until early next year.
The air defense system Patriot and additional interceptor missiles have already arrived in Ukraine thanks to an agreement with Germany. This is reported by The Telegraph.
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius insists on accelerating the transfer of systems, emphasizing that the fateful decision lies with Washington. The U.S. expects that European allies will temporarily transfer some of their Patriots to Ukraine, and then receive new installations from the American manufacturer RTX Corporation.
The U.S. Department of Defense is in negotiations with several countries for the supply of Patriot systems for Ukraine. The number of states involved in the agreements is currently not disclosed.
President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine has agreements to receive three air defense Patriot systems out of ten needed.
Ukraine received the Patriot air defense system and interceptor missiles thanks to the agreement with Germany. The efforts of the Pentagon and the White House are focused on increasing Ukraine's defense capabilities with support from European allies. Ukraine has already received support from Germany, and collaboration with other countries is also expected to strengthen its defense system.
