A mistake has been discovered in Diia: a city in the Donetsk region was marked as Russian

According to glavcom.ua: In the birth certificate of one of the users of the 'Diia' application, the city of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region was mistakenly indicated as a populated locality of the Russian Federation. User Serhiy Sokov published a screenshot of the relevant registry record on social media X. This was reported by 'Hlavkom' referring to the post of Serhiy Sokov.

Representatives of 'Diia' explained in comments under the post that the error was made by the NAICS registrar during the entry of the archival registry record into the registry. It is based on this data that information is generated in the mobile application.

'We have already clarified that the mistake was made by the NAICS registrar during the entry of the archival registry record into the registry, based on the data from which registry records in the mobile application are generated,' the representatives of Diia stated.

Correction of the mistake and a new opportunity

The NAICS team is already working on correcting the situation and taking measures to prevent similar cases in the future.

Deputy Prime Minister for Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov conducted a relevant survey in Threads. This was reported by 'Hlavkom' referring to Mykhailo Fedorov.

Mykhailo Fedorov asked users if they were ready to pay 99 UAH for changing the photo. The idea received a positive response from the majority of Ukrainians. Users actively support the initiative, noting that they are ready to pay even more since their appearance changes over time. Some even admitted that they would be willing to 'lose' their documents just to take a new photo.

As a result of the mistake in entering data into the birth certificate in 'Diia,' the NAICS team is working on correcting the situation and plans to prevent similar mistakes in the future. In addition, a new paid service may appear on the platform - changing the photo in the passport, which has received a positive response from users.
