The unit's commander, Yana Zinkevich, stated that the core of the conflict was Smolnikova's exposure for using hallucinogenic mushrooms during a rotation in Bakhmut. “This individual, who was in our battalion, was exposed for using hallucinogenic mushrooms during a rotation in Bakhmut. For us, this is absolutely unacceptable and for me personally, because I am against the use of any substances on rotations.” - Yana Zinkevich
