Scandalous concerts of Serdyuchka. Language ombudsman explained whether Andrei Danilko violates the law

According to Kremin's explanation, Ukrainian law allows artists to perform Russian songs without limiting them in performing Ukrainian-language compositions. The language ombudsman also noted that there were no violations of the law in this specific case, however, measures of state control are being conducted to more thoroughly check the conditions under which the concert took place.

The Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language Taras Kremin explained that the artist Andrei Danilko, performing as Verka Serdyuchka, does not violate the law by performing Russian songs. In an interview for 'Glavkom', he noted that this is permissible under language legislation.
