How many men aged 18-22 left Ukraine for Romania
A month after the permit for the departure of men aged 18-22, Romanian border guards recorded over 7 thousand border crossings from Ukraine. This was reported by the Romanian Border Police in response to a request from 'Ukrainska Pravda'.
According to their data, from August 28 to September 30, 2025, there were 7,252 entries of Ukrainians in this age category. The agency clarifies that the statistics reflect the number of crossings, not the number of people, as one person may leave and return several times.
Departure of men aged 18-22 to Romania: official data
Border guards emphasize that some individuals were not allowed entry. The most common reasons for refusals were related to documents, previous violations of stay regulations, or inability to confirm the purpose of travel. Romania has standard entry rules for citizens of third countries, so Ukrainians aged 18-22 must also meet the general requirements.

Invalid or damaged travel documents
-
Exceeding the allowed period of previous stay

Lack of proof of the purpose of travel
-
Active entry ban into the country.
Romanian border guards emphasize that decisions are made individually for each case. At the same time, no official information on the total number of refusals has been disclosed so far.
