Ukrainian Intelligence Identified Companies Involved in the Production of the 'Oreshnik' Missile
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has unveiled a list of companies in the Russian defense-industrial complex involved in the production of the medium-range ballistic missile 'Oreshnik'. According to information from the acting head of intelligence Oleg Cherny, this list was provided in response to a request from 'Glavkom'.
- JSC 'Corporation Moscow Institute of Thermal Engineering' (Moscow);
- JSC 'Federal Scientific Production Center Titan Barricades' (Volgograd);
- JSC 'Main Special Design Bureau Prozhktor' (Moscow);
- JSC 'Concern Zvezdai' (Voronezh);
- JSC 'Scientific Production Enterprise Spetsenergomekhanika' (Moscow);
- LLC 'Scientific Research Center for Special Equipment and Conversion Continent' (Moscow).
According to intelligence, these companies in Russia can produce up to 10 units of the 'Oreshnik' missile per year. However, this missile is currently not in service with the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
New Data on the 'Oreshnik' Missile
According to recent reports, medium-range ballistic missiles 'Oreshnik' were tested in October 2023 and June 2024. Furthermore, according to the President of Ukraine, 39 Russian companies are involved in the development of this missile, although only 21 of them were not under sanctions as of early June this year.
In June 2025, Vladimir Putin announced the start of mass production of the 'Oreshnik' missile system. Also, Alexander Lukashenko stated that this missile will be deployed in Belarus with a megaproject for use in case of aggression.
