Veterans can now fly for just €1 with SkyUp’s new initiative

SkyUp launches 'Wings of Gratitude' program

According to УНІАН — Туризм: Ukrainian airline SkyUp has introduced a social initiative called 'Wings of Gratitude.' This program allows combat participants and veterans to purchase tickets on regular flights for a symbolic price of €1, plus airport fees. These fees typically range from €10 to €50. The offer is subject to seat availability, and up to four tickets can be booked per flight.

To qualify for the discount, combat participants must contact the airline’s team and send a photo of their combat participant ID (UBC). Currently, SkyUp operates flights from Chișinău International Airport in Moldova, serving destinations in Spain, Greece, France, and other countries.

For us, this is more than just a flight. We understand that for our military personnel and veterans, every journey often carries special meaning-whether it’s travel for medical treatment, a long-awaited visit to family, or a chance to briefly change their surroundings and recharge. That’s why we want to make this journey as easy and accessible as possible-as a sign of our gratitude and support for those who do so much for Ukraine every day.

How to use the 'Wings of Gratitude' program

• Contact the SkyUp team via Instagram or Facebook, or reach out to the SkyUp contact center by phone or email.
• Send a photo of your combat participant ID to [email protected].
• The SkyUp support team will confirm available seats within the quota for your chosen flight and issue the ticket.
