Investigators have completed the case regarding the road accident involving a child: the driver faces up to 8 years in prison
Preliminary investigation of the road accident in Mohyliv-Podilskyi
According to Главком: Investigators have completed the preliminary investigation of the road accident, as a result of which a 10-year-old boy was severely injured in Mohyliv-Podilskyi. The incident occurred on April 11, 2025, when the driver of a Renault car, failing to ensure the safety of the maneuver, reversed out of a parking lot. As a result of this maneuver, the boy, who was riding an electric scooter, was injured.
The child sustained serious bodily injuries and was hospitalized. The 64-year-old driver has been notified of suspicion under part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of this article provides for imprisonment from three to eight years, as well as deprivation of the right to drive vehicles.

- In Vinnytsia, on Mariupolska Street, a 72-year-old driver hit a child.
- On September 24, 2025, in Vinnytsia, at the intersection of Generala Arabeia and Khmelnytskyi highways, a car hit a schoolgirl.
Cases regarding these incidents are also under investigation.
This incident highlights the problem of road safety in Ukraine, especially in the context of protecting children.
