Social payments and pensions are guaranteed: Shmyhal made a final statement
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal presented a report on the financial condition of Ukraine during a speech in the Verkhovna Rada. He stated that there are 340 billion hryvnias in the country's Unified Treasury Account.
Shmyhal emphasized that Ukraine has maintained financial stability, fulfilled all social obligations, and has no arrears in social payments. Ukraine's foreign exchange reserves exceeded 45 billion dollars, which is a record figure and indicates the country's financial resilience in wartime, noted the prime minister.
'The government has ensured the attraction of 39 billion dollars from partners to cover the budget deficit, and local budgets have received support totaling over 113 billion hryvnias. Funding for the defense sector remains a priority,' – Shmyhal added.
In his statement on social media, the prime minister expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian people, President Zelensky, businesses, and international partners for their cooperation and support of the government over the past five years.
